As pointed out above, the cash position of the organization increased from $45,710 at the beginning of the year to $54,138 at the end of the year -- and increase of $8,428 -- an 18 percent increase.
Note that donations were $38,030. The $8,428 increase in the cash position represents 22 percent of the donations.
Note that fundraising expenses were $7,732 -- and they raised $38,030. Thus, 20 percent of the funds they raised were spent to raise the funds. This percentage is better than 2001 when 28 percent of the funds raised went to raise funds. Still, 20 percent is on the high side. And the organization does not reveal the name of its fundraiser.
