This is a closeup view of the area of the buildings that Smith and Garwood visited in July 1993 that Garwood stated to be the location of the US POWs that he claimed to have seen in September 1977. The red circle is the cluster of buildings in question.

No doubt, the buildings that Smith and Garwood (Hendon, too) visited in July 1993 were present in 1991. But, that is not the question. The question is: Were these buildings present in 1977, which is the date that Garwood said he saw US POWs there? This link will take you to a line drawing from photography of 17 June 1989.
